(benefits of offering durva to ganesh) उसके त्रास से स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी लोक दोनों जगह त्राहि-त्राहि मची थी. राक्षस अनलासुर से परेशान होकर देवताओं ने भगवान शिव से उसका अंत करने की प्रार्थना की. तब भगवान शिव ने बताया कि राक्षस अनलासुर का खात्मा केवल भगवान श्री गणेश कर सकते हैं देवताओं ने भगवान गणेश से राक्षस के खात्में की प्रार्थना की. सभी देवताओं की प्रार्थना स्वीकार कर भगवान गणेश ने राक्षस अनलासुर को निकल लिया, लेकिन राक्षस को निगलने के बाद भगवान गणेश को पेट में जलन होने लगी. (benefits of offering durva to ganesh) भगवान गणेश को पीड़ा मुक्त करने के लिए कई उपाय किए गए लेकिन किसी से कोई लाभ नहीं हुआ इसी दौरान भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा की 21 गांठे खाने के लिए दी गई. दूर्वा को खाते ही भगवान गणेश के पेट में होने वाली जलन बंद हो गई. ऐसा माना जाता है कि तबसे ही भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा चढ़ाने की परंपरा शुरू हुई, और इसी वजह से भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा बेहद प्रिय है.
दूर्वा से जुड़ी खास बातें Why is Durva offered to Lord Ganesha?
1. भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा अधिक प्रिय है. अतः सफेद या हरी दूर्वा चढ़ानी चाहिए. दूर्वा शब्द दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है. जिसका अर्थ होता है गणेश के दूरस्थ पवित्रकों को पास लाने वाला. (benefits of offering durva to ganesh)
दूः+अवम्, इन शब्दों से दूर्वा शब्द बना है।
‘दूः’ यानी दूरस्थ व ‘अवम्’ यानी वह जो पास लाता है।
2. भगवान गणेश को हमेशा ताजी और कोमल दूर्वा ही अर्पित करें, सूख जाने पर यह आम खास जैसी हो जाती है.
3. भगवान गणेश को हमेशा विषम संख्या में दूर्वा अर्पित करें जैसे 7,9,11.
4. यदि आप हर दिन गणेश जी को दूर्वा अर्पित नहीं कर पाते तो कोशिश करें कि बुधवार को भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा जरुर अर्पित करें.
5 . भगवान गणेश को दूर्वा हमेशा उनकी प्रतिमा की समिधा की लंबाई के अनुसार ही दूर्वा अर्पित करें.
6. दूर्वा को बांध कर अर्पित करें इससे वो देर तक जाता रहेगी और उसकी सुगंध भी देर तक बनी रहेगी. दूर्वा को देर तक ताजा रखने के लिए उसे पानी में भिगा कर भी अर्पित कर सकते हैं ऐसा करने से पवित्रक ज्यादा समय तक मूर्ति में बने रहते हैं.
7. भगवान गणेश को कभी दूर्वा कभी भी अर्पित नहीं करनी चाहिए. न ही दुर्गा जी को कभी दूर्वा अर्पित करनी चाहिए. इस बात का कार्तिक माहात्म्य में किया गया है.
